Kei Truck Parts

A Kei truck is one of the Japanese mini trucks, which is a small but practical vehicle sold in an RWD (rear-wheel drive) or 4WD (4-wheel drive) version. A Kei truck is particularly manufactured to gratify the Japanese statutory class. This mini truck is also known as Keitora (meaning “light truck”) along with a micro van, the van twin variation.

Uses of Kei Trucks

Widely utilized throughout Asia for firefighting, agriculture, fisheries, and even construction purposes, used Kei truck models have been brought to the United States of America for off-road uses by farmers and hunters in general. The Japanese laws encourage excessive vehicles after a short-lived durability; hence, importers transport used kinds of Kei trucks to the USA by containers for sale at low costs, which range from $1,000 to $12,000.

Design of Kei Trucks

Kei truck parts’ design features a maximum size and displacement, which has increased since the law initially, enables these mini truck parts in 1949. The 1998 regulation allows a max height (2.0 meters), maximum length (3.4 meters), width (1.48 meters), and displacement (660-cc engine). Kei trucks weight are about 700 kilograms (1,500 pounds), and can reach approximately 120 kilometers per hour (75 miles per hour) once ungoverned. Because of the established limitations regarding the length of the vehicle, majority of Kei trucks are built with “cab over” concept in order to maximize load-carrying capabilities. For exports, these mini trucks are generally fitted with larger engines in order to enable them more functional carrying abilities.
